Quick share...

I remember these from childhood, one of my favorite things to make on a rainy afternoon.
Ingredients:
1 stick of butter (not margarine )
1/2 cup milk
2 cups sugar
1/4 cup cocoa
1/2 cup peanut butter
3 cups oats, quick or old-fashioned
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Preparation:Place cocoa, peanut butter (if used), oats, and vanilla in a large mixing bowl. Combine the butter, milk, and sugar in a saucepan; bring to a rolling boil. Boil for 1 minute. Combine the hot mixture with the oatmeal and chocolate chip mixture; stir well. Drop by spoonful onto a cookie sheet and chill.
Hope you enjoy these as much as we do.

  4. I saw something about boiling...I'm pretty sure that's more dangerous than baking. They sound amazing, so next time they appear in your house please put a couple in the freezer for me!! I'll be back sooooon!

And yes, I'm planning to do the retreat, I forgot to ask if I write the check to you or Griffins (Griffins, right?). And I'm happy to pay a late fee, lol. Just let me know what I owe. :)

I miss you girls, hope we get time to hang out before school starts back!
