I am finding it hard to believe that November is here and we are looking at Thanksgiving just around the corner. I LOVE this time of year, the weather is getting cooler, it is nice to be outside (not so stinkin hot), we start thinking about traditions that we do as a family to bring in the season. Well, this year I am making a new tradition for my family. I want each one of us to write down one thing each day that we are thankful for. (I think DH will give me the most difficulty, I might have to just ask him and write it down myself). Then I am going to compile these into a mini book so in years to come we can look back and see what things we held important, what things we enjoyed. I am going to use Ali's countdown to Christmas book as inspiration and mix in a little of Janet's inspiration for the book as well.In this uncertain economic time I am feeling very grateful right now that I have a family who I love very much, a roof over my head, a job, and a stockpile of scrapbook supplies at my disposal. Today I am going to put my book together, in between cleaning and daily chores, I think this will make it easier to just add the stuff in as we go. Anyone want to do this with me??? Maybe I will even get pics posted later this evening!

  1. What a great idea Yvonne... I did this last year! :) I had a great time doing it, and it really made me think about the things I am fortunate to have in my life! Good luck getting the hubs to do it! I only did it for what I was thankful for, so I had it a little easier! :)

  2. Yes, photos, I would love some photos! I agree w/ Kristy, getting everyone to participate might be too ambitious for me...however, me making a little journal/book for each child might be a nice Christmas present...maybe for all my loved ones. Thank you for the inspiration! (But still need photos! :) )

  3. Sounds like a fab idea. I would so be in it with you, but like everything else in my life, it would take the backburner right now. I SO need to get things done and SOON!

Maybe a Christmas book. I do see myself possibly doing that...
