Hello again. I spent the weekend crafting and inking and I have to say it felt SO good.
I finished a bunch of projects I had sitting waiting for me to have TIME to work on.
This little clock I picked up at TJ Maxx on clearance for 5 bucks!
Now, I really didn't like the way it was...forgot to take a before picture...darn.
But I knew when I bought it I was going to alter it.
I used Prima's Almanac line that I have had stashed for a while.
I really have got to stop stashing and start using, wink. Anywho, to adhere the paper to the base of the clock I used Ranger's Glue and Seal (Matte). Love this stuff. With the Florida humidity it was hard to find a medium that didn't stay tacky to the touch. After it dried I added some Vintage Photo Distress Ink to age it.
Love how it made the edges really old looking.
The cool corners are from Tim's Idea-ology line. Been hoarding those as well.
On the clock piece itself I painted it with Vintage Photo Distress Paint, let it dry, then wiped a bit off.
It really lends the look of vintage, wink.
This little butterfly stamp is one of my favorites right now. Can't seem to get enough of it, hehehe.
I just wish I knew what company it belonged to. It has no markings on it at all. Sadface.
I have been using it on everything lately and love it...it is the perfect size.
The butterflies were inked very lightly with Vintage Photo Distress Ink as well, then Stardust Stickles was applied to make them seem a little magical.
The Sentiment is one of Tim's...he has the best sentiments...I think I have every single one of them.
Love finding something new or old and mixing it up to fit somewhere in my house or to give as a one of a kind gift. This little clock will be staying here and finding a home in my bedroom. I think I might make a run to TJ Maxx and see if there are any more left. I think they would make great Christmas Gifts.
Oh...I cannot believe I just said that...I am NOT ready to think about that yet, wink.
Hope you were inspired to look at things differently and see the possibilities!
