Simon Says stamp and Show Challenge

Hi everyone! I had so much fun playing along with the Chic to Shabby Challenge over at Simon Says Stamp and Show that I decided to play along again with this weeks Water Challenge.
So here is my tag.  I love making tags and usually give them away along with a little gift.
I tend to use them as my "card."
I went with the an Ocean Blue theme.
I started off with Distress Inks-Salty Ocean and threw in a little Mowed Lawn.
That is one of the things that I love about Distress Products is you really can't go wrong with blending different colors together...they always seem to work.  In the above photo you can see the 'water' spots.
I did this using Tim's technique of 'spritz and flick'  It is one of my favorites!
Below you can see that 'dewey' look on the wordage.  I blended Salty Ocean on a tag and stamped the sentiment on top of that with Black Soot.  I then embossed the whole piece with clear embossing powder.  I like the way it makes it look moist or like it is still full of morning dew.
I stamped the Compass stamp with Black Archival and then some of the Fancy Flourishes with more Salty Ocean.  Don't you just love the tone on tone.  Another really fun thing about Distress Inks.
Had to get my butterflies in.  They are fluttering around trying decide which direction or course they are going to take, wink.  They are inked with Salty Ocean and Mowed Lawn and stickled with Stardust.
I used a scrap piece of the Salty Ocean  from cutting out the sentiment, inked up FLY from Tim's word stickers, adhered the epoxy circle, cut it out and glued it into the little charm.

Of course with the awesome Compass stamp I had to add on some game spinners.
I used Salty Ocean and Mowed Lawn Distress Inks to dye some crinkle ribbon as well as finishing off the corners with decorative corners from Tim's Idea-ology line.  So there you have it, my take on the water challenge!  I hope you will be inspired to get those distress inks out and make some time for play!
Have a great week and thanks for stopping by!
Note: I don't know what company makes the butterfly but if you do could you let me know?  Thanks
