I have been having so much fun inking lately that I just can't stop. Hehehehe.
So...I decided to join in over at Simon Says Stamp and Show. They have ongoing challenges and I thought why not. The challenge was to create something Shabby Chic.
This is my version of something Shabby and Chic.
I have been wanting to use this Butterfly die cut from Memory Box for a while. It is so dainty...just love it.
Well, who doesn't love a butterfly. Most everyone knows that is my signature...If I did it it usually has a butterfly somewhere...not always, but I try to get them on as many projects as possible, wink.
I cut two out and inked one with Worn Lipstick and Gathered Twigs. I then layered it onto a plain one. They were both cut out of Manilla tag. I covered a tag with book print and inked it as well. (same colors and a little Walnut Stain)
The lace at the bottom is the edge of a doily. I lightly inked two doilies and cut off the lacy part. I lined some adhesive (Scor-tape) on to the tag itself and scrunched the doily. It looked kind of flat so I repeated to make another layer.
I thought it would be fun to use Tim's new Postage Stamp Frame die to frame the sentiment. I inked it using the same colors and stamped the verse (it is a Tim Holtz sentiment) with Archival. Then stamped a script stamp over the whole thing randomly with Gathered Twigs.
Of course we had to have some bling. Love bling. Love the sparkle! And there you have it. My very first take on the Simon Says Stamp & Show Challenge blog.
You should check it out...there are lots of fun ideas over on their blog.
