Simon Says Stamp and Show Challenge

This is a canvas board that I used a mixture of Distress Inks and Dylusions Sprays.  I covered the canvas with dictionary pages.  I then took a stencil and used some embossing paste to create texture.  After it all dried, I sprayed it with Dylusions Bubble Gum and Sunshine.  I dried that with my heat tool careful not to put to much heat to the embossing paste area.  I then applied Distress Inks (Walnut Stain, Peeled Paint and Vintage Photo).  I stamped Tim's Butterflies from Pappillon on to a tag with Black Archival ink and colored those with Fired Brick and Spiced Marmalade Distress Inks.  Cover them with Glossy Accents, let them dry and then cut them out.  I applied them to the canvas using Glossy Accents (just a little in the center so the wings flutter slightly)  I stamped one of Tim's quotes on a tag, inked it and cut it in to strips to add the sentiment.  The last technique is one of my favorites...spritz and flick.  Love the way it leaves water drop splotches.  Just added texture bonus!
Hope you enjoyed my take on the Anything Goes Challenge.  Visit Simon Says Stamp and Show and check out all the inspiration from their Design Team!

  1. Yvonne...this is soooo pretty! I love your PINK!!! You go girl...you and your pink! :) Love the texture you've created with the stencils. Those flowers are awesome! I love your butterflies. They look so different than Tim's normal butterflies..I guess it's the way you've used them. :) I also love your sentiment. Such a sweet piece! Thanks for sharing your beautiful art with us at Simon Says Stamp and Show. <3 Candy
