Hi everyone...I am so excited to be back for this new challenge!
So if you haven't gotten Tim's book you can definitely still do that. He will even send you an autographed one if you order from here.
If you are sitting on the sidelines still thinking about joining in the fun now is the time to jump in!
The sooner you get your book the more fun you can have!!!
Tim and Mario also donated a TON of prizes that we will be giving away throughout the course of the challenge. So that is even more incentive. Have you seen the prizes! All I can say is Holy Molly! LOTS of fun stuff in each prize package!
Now let's get onto the challenge...
I am loving Tim's stencils as I am sure all of you are!!! They are so fun to use. I love that they are one-in the shape of a tag, two-great designs and three-they are nice and thick (not flimsy at all!)
So the challenge this time is Layering Stencil-Modeling Paste from page 49.
I started with the tag in the center and as you can see I got a tad carried away!
I couldn't stop! hehehe.
I used Tim's Modeling Paste Technique from page 49 to create layers on the tag.
I had a bunch of pre-cut tags using the mover and shaper word dies...love those..sad they were discontinued. Luckily I have a hoard of them, wink.
I stamped the seahorse and shell from Tim's new blueprint stamp set.
Inked those up with various Distress Inks.
Cut some of the Garden Greens to use as sea weed.
This is when I couldn't stop!
Next, I "painted" a 9x12 canvas with Broken China Distress Stain.
I then stamped it and stenciled on it. The more layers the more texture. So fun.
I inked up some old dictionary pages with Gathered Twigs and a little bit of Broken China Distress Inks. Adhered this to the canvas and popped the tag with dimensional foam.
This is when I thought we need some words.
I inked up three small tags using Broken China and stamped my very favorite speckled stamp all over them. Then I stamped the sentiment on another tag using Gathered Twigs. Dry. Blend on Broken China. Cut the Sentiment stamp into three different sections and adhered them to the three smaller tags that I had tucked under the main tag.
Of course you have to have a little sparkle...so I used Diamond Stickles (one of my faves) to do just that! If you look closely you can even see it atop the modeling paste.
Next I painted some Idea-ology findings with Broken China Distress Paint and once it dried a removed some of the paint to give it that shabby look.
Then I thought...hmmm I need a little more sparkle. I filled Tim's Corked Vials with Broken China and Rock Candy Distress Stickles...shook it up and tied the two vials together with some twine.
Glossy Accents was perfect for adhering those to the canvas.
One last little close up.
So I hope you enjoyed and found some inspiration! I know the other Crew Members have rocked this challenge! Make sure to leave a comment on all the crew's blogs to be eligible for the prize pack once you enter your challenge piece on the CC3Challenge blog!
We also have a very generous gift certificate to give away from The Funkie Junkie!
