Introducing!!!

I am so over the top excited to share this with you today!
Let me start with little back story.
The owner of Paplin Products, Andy, comes into She Scrapbooks when he is spending time in The Villages.  They sell quilling supplies and we carry a little bit of it.
He comes in and we usually chat a bit.
He has asked me over the past two years if there is anything new I could think of that I would like to see  in the industry.  The first thing that popped in to my mind was an "inky" Art Journal.
I love to use Distress Inks when Art Journaling, but I have always found it difficult to "blend the ink onto any of the papers in any of the journals.  I have tried them all!
I wanted to see an art journal with pages made of thick shipping tag material.
Also wanted the pages to lay flat when the book is open so you can work across the spine.
The last time he came in he said Okay...lets make it!
He went home and ordered the stuff and we were on the phone back and forth.
I was so excited and wanted to tell everyone, but I couldn't wink.
So skip to today!
They are ready to go.
They are ready to ship out to stores!
I know they will be available at She Scrapbooks and Rocky Mountain Memories in Colorado this week. If you would like to order one or two, wink, Call one of these stores.
There are two sizes of INKY ART JOURNALS...
6 x 8 and 8 1/2 x 11 to start off with!

I have these in my hot little hands.
I am so excited about these and I happen to have extra!
SO....
I  think I will do a giveaway!
All you have to do is leave me a comment and tell me what you think of this idea!
I will randomly pick a winner one week from today.
Please tell your other artsy friends.
Below you can see what they look like.

Below you can see how nice and flat it is when open.
There is a little INKY art on the front just to show how nice the ink works on the paper.
The covers are plain THICK chipboard so you can alter it, paint it, Distress it...whatever you want to do to it.

It's hard to see but the pages are made of thick Manila Shipping Tag material...yummy!!!
The 6 x 8 size is perfect for on the go!
It has 32 yummy pages to work on!

Okay...Now that I have talked your ear off.
Don't forget to leave a comment so you can be entered into win...
The prize will include one of each size.
ACK....so excited!
Giveaway closes tonight at midnight.  Winner will be picked Tuesday 11/4 by 6PM EST.
Edited: The winner is Shari Trumbull.
Shari Please email me your addy at yblair1@gmail.com and I will get your Journals out to you!
Thank you for all the excitement over these INKY ART JOURNALS!
I hope you will be able to find them in a store near you!

  24. You should be so very excited, Yvonne! WOW!! I think these journals are Fabulous! I find that manila stock has become my go-to surface to create upon and having a journal with not only sturdy, manila pages, but pages that lie flat, too! I've tried art journaling (once) and was so unhappy with how the inks soaked right into the page, that I haven't gone back to trying. Maybe with journals like this, I'll try my hand at art journaling again :) Congrats on wonderfully crafty ideas coming to fruition!! XOXO-Shari T.
