Just for fun...

It's almost the beginning of a brand new shiny year and to me that is very exciting!
I am totally over the holidays and ready to move on, wink.
They are great while they are here, but when it's over it's over.
Ready to move on the bright colors.
So I thought I'd create something just for fun.
Something I have had on the back burner.
I bought this little wood photo stand..can't remember where I found it,
but it was not so pretty.
I love having these little stands all over so I can change pictures out or stick a quote that speaks to me in them.  I knew this one could be cute!
First I painted it with some Gesso just to make sure the other stuff was covered up.
Then I applied Tim's tissue wrap with Multi Matte Medium.
I like to tear it into pieces and overlap so it is pretty textured.
After that dried I painted it using my finger with Picked Raspberry, Spiced Marmalade and Picket Fence Distress Paint.  Just smearing it here and there.  I really like the effect that it gets.
I then added just a tad of Bronze to give it a bit of shimmer.
I stamped Tim's Blueprint Butterfly on a tag, inked it with Picked Raspberry and Spiced Marmalade.
The sentiment is Dyan Reaveley's stamp.  LOVE LOVE LOVE that saying!
Stamped it on a tag, inked it with the same colors as the butterfly and fussy cut both out.
Everything is adhered with Multi Matte Medium and sealed with it as well.
I need it by the gallons! If you haven't used it PLEASE give it a try!
Once everything was dry I attached the pen nib with glossy accents and added a bit of Stardust Stickles. (a gallon of this would be good to!)
I added some of Tim's chit chat on the top and sides just to add more fun and inspirational words.

There you have it.
As many of you know I am obsessed with butterflies, words and the number 3.
This has two out of 3...hehehe.
I hope this will inspire you to look at things you might normally pass by and see the possibility to make it your own!
I will be back tomorrow night with another little project that goes along with this one, wink.
Until then...thanks for stopping by...and have a great week!
