CHA part II

Hello again.
Life got crazy and I didn't get to get back here when I wanted to...
But today I am very happy to share with you this little project I did for Tim's Idea-ology booth.
I was over the top excited when I got an email asking me if I wanted to make a couple of things for the booth.
Let's just say I was walking on cloud nine!
I love Tim's Assemblage Clocks
I have made quite a few of them and still have ideas for more.
They really are great for gifts...home decor pieces and remembrances.

I did this as a remembrance for my grandfather.
He was my very best friend.  He was my safety spot in the world for so long.
He taught me the things I needed to know to help me figure out this crazy thing called life.

I love that I will have this clock to sit with his Coast Guard Hat, the flag he was gifted upon his retirement and a few other keepsakes I have.

The first thing you need to do when creating one of these is take the whole clock apart.
Trace the back so that you can create the inside piece.  I cut mine down a bit so that it sat more towards the front of the clock.

Then you need to prepare the clock surface...I painted the whole thing with Gesso.
This primed the surface so I could achieve the finish I wanted to create using Distress Paints.
Here is is sitting in Tim's Idea-ology booth!
I tell you it was the biggest honor to have things I created in his booth.
I have to shout out a huge thank you to Tim, Mario and Paula.
They work tirelessly and patiently to pull all the displays together.
I truly never thought I would ever have this amazing opportunity and am so very grateful!

The Shield with the word brave in it is one of the new releases in the idea-ology line!
I love them.  I can't wait to get my hands on more! hehehe.
I hope you enjoyed my assemblage clock.
I am proud that this picture of my grandpa was given a place of honor!

  1. Your clock is so meaningful and decorated to honor your Grandfather perfectly! I'm so happy for you having one of your creations in TH booth but NOT surprised at all. He is a smart man and knows talent when he see it.
