Compendium of Curiosities #19

Welcome back for our brand new challenge from CC3 and the first one of 2015!
Can you believe we are here...the beginning of a brand new shiny year full of so many possibilities!
Frayed Fabric can be found on page 66 of Compendium of Curiosities III!

I cannot go any further without saying a special thank you to Tim and Mario for all the goodies they donated to be given away as prizes! They were so very generous and the prizes are amazing!
Also Inspiration Emporium has donated a generous $50 gift certificate!
All you have to do to be entered into the heap to win a prize is follow the rules that are listed here!
Easy peasy!

Okay on to the challenge!
Now, when I heard a few years back that Tim was introducing a fabric line...
I was over the top giddy!
I have bought it and saved it...(hoarded it)
I have intentions of making all sorts of things, but have not found the time
to embrace my sewing machine.
Well, this challenge was the perfect reason to get it set up, relearn how to
load the bobbin and thread the machine...let's just say after extensive searching for the manual I gave up and searched for it online.
(thank goodness for the Internet!)
After some frustrating time...I finally got said machine going and
oh boy...new addiction!
I can sew on paper now! with fabric! together!
(insert happy squealing and awkward happy dancing)
I digress...
I cannot give the deets away other then to say look up page 66 for the directions on the particulars for this challenge!

However I can say that once I applied said technique from page 66 I added some
embellishments and ink.
Picked Raspberry, Ripe persimmon and Gathered Twigs Distress Inks were the colors I choose.
I also lightly added some color to the fabric itself.
 So there you have it.
Challenge #19.
The first of 2015!
Please make sure to leave all the other members of the Curiosity Crew some love...
I feel so very blessed to be on this journey with them!

AND thank you to you all for all the lovely comments! I hope to get back to being able to respond...I have been reading them and loving them, I am sure most of you have been in the chaos of the holiday season and understand that time is just so limited at that time of year!
BUT we are now welcoming 2015 and I cannot wait to see what all of you create!!!!

AND if you would like to get your very own hands on some of the supplies I used here you can find them at Inspiration Emporium! if you use the code "inkgirl" you will get 10% off your order!
