CC3Challenge #30...

Hello CC3er's! Nice to be back for Challenge #30!
This week's challenge is Faux Cracked Glass...and let me say I LOVE it, hehehe.
You will find the challenge on page 54 of Compendium of Curiosities Vol. III and if you don't have the book, well, you can still get a signed copy here from Tim and Mario.

You know we have to shout out to our sponsors Tim and Mario who donated a ton of goodies to be given away and also The Funkie Junkie who donated a very nice gift certificate!
And all you have to do to be in the running for some of those lovely prizes is follow the rules you will find here. It's pretty easy peasy...

So let's get on with the challenge...
I decided to make a piece of jewelry.
I have been wanting to do this since the beginning of the challenge and I haven't felt the inspiration until now. I thought this was the perfect challenge to bring that goal in to the picture! wink.
The "challenge" piece is the focal point of the necklace.
I also put some fun things in the corked vial that would be interesting if you saw it up close.
It was hard to photograph that part of it, but you could really put anything you like in it.
I added some glitter, a pen nib, a wish bone and a rolled up piece of parchment that has a message on it that I can remember when I wear this piece.
It says:
Let your faith be bigger then your fear.
I just hand wrote it and it is personal to me.
Sometimes it's good to have a little reminder close by, don't you think?

Now, you know I can't spill the beans on the technique but below is a close up of the effect!
It is pretty hardy to I must say!
I banged it about just a bit to make sure it would stay and it does, wink.
This way I knew it would be safe to actually wear it, lol.

So there you have it.
I hope you enjoyed my take on the challenge.
Make sure to visit each of the Curiosity Crew's blogs and leave them some love!
We love to read your comments but we really LOVE to see what you guys create!
I hope you will be inspired to join the fun! We only have a handful of challenges left.
