Altered Cigar box for CCB

Hi there! Excited to be sharing with you my project for Creative Carte Blanche
I hope you will join myself, Annette Green, Candy Colwell, Cheryl Grigsby, Hels Sheridan
Linda Ledbetter and Susan Mostek for our monthly adventures on the CCB blog!
Once a month we do a prompt or challenge to just spread our creative wings and see what happens!
No rules...no products are a must, nothing except using the prompt we give you!
We want to see 'you' in your art!
Having time for Creative play is so essential...it will help you find your own style, but also I think of it as therapy!  This month our prompt was to alter a cigar box.
I pulled out some products and just let it take me where ever it led me.
Love Prima paper...always have...and this is one of their paper lines I am hoarding.
At some point though you have to pull it out and use it! Right!
Finnabair always inspires me...I love the way she uses metal in her projects so I decided to let that lead me!

So, I had this vintage lace I found at a yard sale...a whole ziplock bag full for $2.00.
That was a very happy find...I love it because it has netting and it has allowed me such amazing texture in my art projects...getting down to the last bit now, but using it on something that I am going to use and love seems right. It also adheres beautifully with Multi Matte Medium... I use at least a jar of this a week...I really need to see about getting it by the gallon! lol.

The inside of the box was finished off with Prima's Royal Menagerie Paper line...matched the
top of the box perfectly!!! Happy when it works out like that! wink.

We still have Linda's and Annette's project to come so keep checking in over on
I am LOVING the other projects so far!
Always seeing what everyone else is doing inspires the heck out of me!!!
Hope to see you soon!
Until next time!
Thanks for stopping by!

  6. Very lovely, Your Quirkiness. Seriously, this seems sort of Downton Abbey inspired. Or maybe I'm just seeing it through Downton eyes. Either way, its so beautiful. That lace just knocks me out!!
