I'm sharing a Color Burst Project today!
I am LOVING Color Burst!
It is so fun, sometimes you get the most unexpected results that can make your heart sing!
Just watching the magic happen when the water hits...well...it's just one of those creative joys.
Today I just wanted to create a fun colorful background so I decided to just play with the colors to see what would happen and where it would take me.
I used these colors:
and a touch of Violet
to get the background, butterflies and stamped word strips colored.
On the little mini tags I painted on Some Liquid Metals Metallic Mandarine.
Oh..I love these new Liquid Metals...they make my heart sing.
When I was looking at the background...it looked like it had formed some 'veining' to me.
I decided to highlight this by dabbing some of the Liquid Metals Metallic Mandarine with a small brush to really help it pop. It almost starting looking like a magical butterfly wonderland...hehehe.
A close up of the veining...don't you just LOVE the way the Liquid Metals create that bit of shimmering magic??? The seam binding was also colored with the
Liquid Metals Metallic Mandarine color.
I put a little bit on my best ever craft sheet spritzed in some more water and crumpled the ribbon in the shimmering puddle of goodness. Dried it and it has shimmer all over it..it was hard to capture that in the picture, but you should try it! You will love the effect in person.
I hope you were inspired to pull out your Color Burst and just have some creative play.
Thanks for stopping by...until next time!
