Thursday, April 14, 2016 Bobbi Smith!

Bobbi has such an eye and amazing skills with texture and dimension, don't you agree!

Hi everyone!  Bobbi here with you today, I have a quick card to share!  It reminds me of vintage spring.  Let me show you how I put it together.
To start with I die cut a piece of Tim Holtz Watercolor Cardstock with the Sizzix Tim Holtz Mixed Media 2 thinlits die.  Then, I cut a piece of patterned paper from the Tim Holtz Correspondence Collection.  Using the Matte Collage Medium, I adhered the patterned paper to the back side of the cutout watercolor cardstock.  Then trimmed any excess paper off the sides.  I wanted my card to have a vintage feel,  so I brushed on a thin coat of Vintage Distress Collage Medium to the surface of the watercolor cardstock.  Then dried with the heat tool.
I scribbled the Picket Fence Distress Crayon directly on the surface of the cutouts.  I smudged with my finger to move around the color and fill in the recessed areas of the flower.  I smeared a little bit of Vintage Photo, Walnut Stain and Black Soot Distress Crayons onto my nonstick craft mat.  Then picked up the color with my finger to smear and smudge onto the surface around the blooms and corners for shading.
I stamped Yvonne Blair Designs Stamp "Second Chances" with black archival ink to the front of the card.
Then dried with a heat tool.  I distressed my card edges a bit with a bone folder.  Then mounted to the front of my black kraft core card.  I finished it off with a little red heart and some jute twine.
Thanks for stopping by today!
