trade show inspiration...Lynne Forsythe

I was lucky enough to spend some time with Lynne at The Collins Show last week!
There is always so much inspiration floating around...but I was totally INSPIRED by her spirit! Her love of art and sharing it with everyone!
Now you are lucky to be inspired by her!
It all goes around...flows like a river of inspiration...you just have to jump in!

I LOVE going to trade shows.
You see, I can have a tendency to get caught
up in my own creative world
and to not venture out.....
However, at a trade show,
there is SOOO MUCH CREATIVE ENERGY
you can't help but to just take it in!

My inspiration for today's project was
watching Ken Oliver demo his Color Burst!

I couldn't wait to get home and PLAY....
I pulled out my box
and began looking through them.....
I happened on this stamp

Then I pulled out a piece of
Canvas Corp Brands ~ White Chipboard,
(a very absorbent, thick paper)
Jet Black Archival Ink and
began stamping multiples of the bottom flower
when dry, I cut them out!
PERFECT!!!

I pulled out my package of
Ken Oliver's Earth Tones ~ Color Burst
and let the games begin!

I found that spritzing the stamped, cut out flower
with water first, worked best.

I then mixed water and various colors
Merlot
Indigo
Yellow Ochre
Burnt Orange
in my paint tray and began experimenting with the
colors on the Scribble Bloom.

I also added a dab of Ken Oliver's ~ Liquid Metal's
here and there!
OH THE LOVE!
When I was happy with my flowers
I outlined the Scribble flowers
with Perfect Paints ~ Halo.

I had some leftover "Color Burst Mixture" so I
transferred it to my craft mat
and sopped it up onto the face of a
CCB Kraft Greeting Card.

I smeared on some of Perfect Paints ~ Halo
.....but my card still didn't look finished.
So, I went in search of the perfect "white noise" stamp
and I found......

which I randomly stamped onto the card face
using Jet Black Archival Ink.

Just what the Dr. ordered!!!
Now, for a bit of distressed, colored CCB ~ Flute
 some Cheese Cloth and
UmWowStudios ~  Grid Border
all stapled to the card.
There you have it.....

Now.....THAT WAS FUN!
I hope I have inspired you to pull out some of your
FAVORITE Impression Obsession stamps and color
and to JUST HAVE FUN!
