Book pages and Blooms!!! CCB

Hi all!
Happy to be here today with my project for Creative Carte Blanche!
I love being a part of this group!
If you haven't heard of it, we are a group of girls who love to create,
love to share our passion, want to inspire others, and I am blessed to be with these amazing women who I call my chosen sisters or creative co-horts, hehehe.

Today I am here to share my project for Hels Sheridan's theme Book pages and Blossoms!
EEEK....I squealed when I read it!
Let me run you through it...

 I started with a 8x8 stretched canvas.
I didn't want to use it traditionally, so I turned it over and decided to do a kind of shadow box.
-I covered the frame and inside with old dictionary print using Multi Matte Medium from Ranger.
-Once that dried, I wiped my Picked Raspberry Distress Ink pad
around the edges and spritzed it lightly with water.
-Then dried it with my heating tool.
-Then I adhered some lace and fabric paper using Multi Matte...that stuff is fabulous for thick fabrics.
-I pulled some flowers out of my flower drawer..just random ones...and sprayed those with Picked Raspberry Distress Spray.  I left some of the white showing for contrast.

I adhered some of, I believe they are Prima's, Butterflies..they were just in my stash.
I also FINALLY used my street sign from Prima that I have been hoarding, lol.
I also took some random rub-ons and rubbed them on sporadically around the edges.
Not sure what company they were as they were in my stash and used.
I inked a large tag with Picked Raspberry Distress Ink and stamped one of my sentiment stamps with Impression Obsession!

So that's a wrap! lol...anyway I hope you enjoyed your stop here today.
Thanks for stopping by!
If you haven't already checked out the Creative Carte Blanche blog do that too...my co-horts have been very creative this month and we still have more to come!
Hope you all have a great day...stay safe out there!

  3. Loving your non traditional use of the canvas, it provides such a lovely little niche for the fabulous sentiment. Great use of the rub-ons and the flowers and butterflies are an absolute delight. Although not generally a 'pink' girl, I have to say I LOVE this!! Anne xx
